All online learning at Macomb is conducted using Canvas, the college’s online learning platform. 用帆布, you’ll be able to interact with your instructor and classmates online, as well as upload and 提交 tests and homework assignments.
Additionally, some classes may also use Microsoft Teams and Zoom video technology.
Check the list of technical requirements below to make sure your off-campus “classroom” is correctly set up to get the best online learning experience at Macomb!Hardware and 操作系统:

If you are registered in an online, remote or hybrid class and have not accessed Canvas before as a Macomb student, 在线教程: Student Introduction to 在线学习 will help you become comfortable using its tools and features before your classes begin. The tutorial takes 30 minutes to one hour to complete.
To access/maximize the tutorial:

Set yourself up for success in online learning with these proven strategies.

- Keep track of all your class meetings in a digital or paper planner
- Include each instructor’s office hours so you know when you can get help
- Schedule time for homework and studying
- Write down due dates for projects and test dates

- Ask questions and participate when asked
- Get to know your classmates and stay engaged in group assignments
- Keep your microphone muted unless you are participating
